In April, we alerted you to the Cecil Act, the most dangerous anti-hunting legislation ever proposed.
H.R. 2245 is headed to Committee hearing and we need your help!
ASK YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TO OPPOSE H.R. 2245.
CONTACT YOUR U.S. REPRESENTATIVE:
This is a crucial point in the fight to protect hunters’ rights. Because Raul Grijalva is both the chair of the House Natural Resources Committee AND the author of the legislation, he has packed the hearing agenda with anti-hunting testimony. DSC has signed and written statements that will rebut the emotion-based claims of anti-hunting activists, but we need the voices of voters to emphasize our position. Please contact your representative today. You can make a difference. Every contact with constituents will be counted.
If enacted, this bill would change the face of international hunting forever. DSC is engaged and is closely following this and any other bills like it that will inevitably come in the future.
We must not waiver on the need for wildlife to be managed based on sound science and by those trained to do so, not agenda-driven organizations or individuals. Those organizations have no interest in wildlife conservation, rather they are singularly focused on stopping hunting, despite the clearly demonstrated benefits for wildlife, their habitats and local people. DSC will keep you informed as the process continues.
Thank you for engaging,
DSC Executive Director
