Enhance Oyster Reefs by Recycling Your Shells! First Two Drop-Off Locations Open in Atlantic City and Ocean City

Got Shell?

If you enjoy eating oysters and clams at home, you can now contribute to help enhance natural oyster reefs simply by recycling your shells!

NJDEP Fish & Wildlife is excited to announce the opening of the first two Shell Recycling Program public shell drop-off locations at the Knife & Fork Inn in Atlantic City and at the Shelter Road Recycling Center in Ocean City.

New Jersey’s Shell Recycling Program would not be possible without the involvement from the community and our partners. Thank you for your support!
