In April, Marine Resources Administration’s Ocean Stock Assessment Program concluded its second offshore trawl survey of the year. Species found included both summer and winter flounder, as well as different species of river herring and a rarely-encountered ghost shrimp. Additionally, three Atlantic sturgeon were tagged and released as part of cooperative research efforts with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, including one measuring roughly 6.5 feet long!
