Greetings Chapter Members,
DSC Northeast has several committees that provide guidance and focus to accomplish our missions, and we need your voice to ensure future success! The time commitment for committee service is modest: ~1 hour per month to attend committee meetings (held via conference call), and any additional time you wish to donate in support of planning, attending events, and other optional activities. Our committees include:
OUTDOOR & YOUTH EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Mission: Build the next generation of conservation-minded outdoor enthusiasts that will support our traditions of fishing, shooting, hunting, camping, etc. through hands-on experiences and involvement.
HUNTER ADVOCACY COMMITTEE
Mission: Focus on the promotion, development and protection of the hunting and shooting sports, as well as education of the general public on the contribution that hunters and shooters make towards wildlife conservation. Identify and track regional political action issues and coordinate appropriate responses in collaboration with DSC offices in Dallas as well as other third-party partners such as The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, Conservation Force, etc.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Mission: Increase the exposure of DSC Northeast through our social media platforms, with aim to increase subscribers on Facebook and Instagram through more inviting and interactive posts that will allow our followers/members to be a close part of DSCNE. Increase exposure to our social media presence thru expansion of links to our social media and website. Continue subscriber engagement long after initial signup thru such measures as giveaways of donated product to “Like and Subscribe”, photo contests, etc.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
Mission: Responsible for raising capital and operating funds necessary to ensure the financial viability and stability of the organization, and fulfill charitable contributions in support of DSC Northeast’s Mission Statement.
