NJDEP Fish & Wildlife will be holding its annual trout stocking meeting virtually on Thursday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m. This important meeting provides an excellent opportunity for anglers to ask questions, voice their opinions, and give suggestions regarding New Jersey’s trout stocking program.
This year’s meeting will include the following topics:
- Fish & Wildlife Update
- Freshwater Fisheries Update
- 2024 Hatchery Production
- Trout Stocking Allocations
- Trout Stocking Program Discussion
The presentations will be followed by an open public question period.

Anglers are also reminded that fishing is prohibited on trout stocked waters March 18 through April 6 at 8 a.m. for pre-season stocking. Catch and release for trout in all other waters.
