Jim Piascik caught the new state record Hybrid Striped Bass in Monksville Reservoir on May 24, 2023. The fish weighed 17 pounds, 12 ounces, replacing John Vayda’s 16-pound, 10-ounce record from 2022. The NJ Marine Fisheries Council’s Spiny Dogfish Committee will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 5:00 pm virtually. The meeting link can be found below.
